Yeah, I totally plan to take a lot of pictures! I’m really looking forward to starting; still need to get a few things, but my Ultra Cal came from Hollynorth the other day~ Thanks for the help offer, I may just need to take you up on that!

Beautiful costume, and just from reading it, the tutorial looks very helpful!
Once my Ultra Cal and latex arrive I’m going to try making the headpiece – I’ll also be doing Liara’s scientist outfit for an event this fall.

Well, you get some nice orange, white and black fabric and then a lot (a ton) of really really cheap fabric – and with the really really cheap fabric you go about making a mockup. I drew out a (rough) pattern at first, and after 3 tries with the cheap material, I finally got (pretty close) to what I wanted for a Hobbes looking character. It was really a trial and error process, and I wasn’t 100% happy with the results. If you’re new to sewing or don’t want to do a lot of pattern drafting, you could make more of a ’2D’ Hobbes plushie. Basically just two full Hobbes-shaped pieces stitched together (with say felt eyes and stripes glued on). Whatever you end up doing I’m sure you’re brother will love it.
